Complete High Intelligibility Voice Processing Solution
The Model 230 is a comprehensive analog voice processing channel with built-in digital outputs.Combining several of our patented technologies, the Model 230 is the ultimate processing tool for on-air broadcast, voiceovers and singers to achieve a vocal quality that™s present, open and controlled. With an intuitive set of controls, each component can be easily adjusted to meet the needs of any voice or vocal style. For integration into nearly any environment, the Model 230 includes a balanced analog output on XLR, an unbalanced ¼ output along with AES/EBU, S/PDIF and optical digital outputs up to 96 kHz sample rates.
Compression is handled with Aphex™ Easyrider compressor, offering high quality dynamics processing without pumping or breathing. The logic-assisted gate provides positive triggering with no false triggers. The split-band de-esser controls sibilance without dulling adjacent high frequencies. The parametric EQ is optimized for human voice frequencies between 240 Hz and 4.5 kHz with a Q control from .5 to 5 octaves to quickly isolate and eliminate any problem frequencies. The patented Aural Exciter® provides its trademark ability to increase intelligibility, presence and detail while the Big Bottom provides body and fullness without increasing peaks.
The Model 230 also offers a post – compressor send and return for inserting additional processing into the chain. For on-air applications, the Model 230 includes a mute function that responds to momentary switch connected to its cough switch input.
Whether you™re doing broadcasting, ADR, music recording, live sound reinforcement or any other application that requires vocal excellence, the Aphex Model 230 is a powerful and superb-sounding processor.
